Episode 3: Randy Robinson Part 1

randy hisself

Randy Robinson is lead singer of the Apocalypse Dudes and Barstool Heroes. We’ve known each other since the early 2000s but this is the first time we’ve talked since then. It’s going to be uploaded in two parts as there was much ground to be covered. We used to be in a band together, for three years about 10 years ago called the Deviltones. It was for me a phase I guess, and the last time I was in a band of any kind really. I guess it cured me. Randy has continued to perform and live the life in several bands since then look out for him in Barstool Heroes and Apocalypse Dudes. He’s the real thing

Episode 2: Kleo Latham

kleet

Kleo is one of my favorite people of all time and an inspiration of sorts. I’ve known her since she was 19 or so and always admired the way she followed her muse and did shit from a pure space of creativity. She’s intrepid bold and adventurous and lately as she’s gotten wiser more reflective and philosophical. This is a long one and it meanders quite a bit but that’s the Tantric part of it, this one gets plenty Tantric. Enjoy.

Episode 1: Matt Conner

Matt and RPG

Matt is the hair in front of the full stacks in RPG. He’s a cool guy, a wise ass and a lover of that elusive quality that makes rock and roll awesome versus shitty, which we attempt to get at. As he says in the conversation to quote the Judge in the Larry Flynt trial “I might not be able to define but I know it when I see it.” Matt is playing and writing in RPG and doing solo shows as well under his name. We talk about these things and you can find out more at:

The Big Idea

IMG00261-20110604-2111

I like to talk but I don’t just like to talk I like to listen. I like to have conversations. I have tried my hand at writing, I have been a musician, I’ve even tried acting, but what I love more than anything is a good chat. Some of my best ideas come and go in a conversation and never make it to the written world. So, since I like people and I like stories and I’m a big fan of the underdog this is what I’m going to do. I’m going to talk to people and record it. These aren’t interviews exactly although I call them that sometimes. They are mini forums, one on ones, and brainstorming sessions. The subjects are known to me and maybe mostly the community of Richmond, Virginia but I don’t think that matters if you know em already you’ll get to know them a little here and maybe you’ll learn something about yourself. I want you to identify and I want you disagree and I want you to say so. Don’t be shy. This is a town square I’m sweeping it but it’s yours. Make yourself at home.
