I met Iman recently at a cast party for David Mamet’s play “Race”. His fiancee Katrinah was one of the leads. The play left me a little disconcerted and I entered that party expecting the actors to be the characters they played in the production. Iman wasn’t in it but turned out to be just the guy I needed to talk to. He is an actor and an activist. His performance medium however ranges from poetry to Hip Hop to Theatre. His activism appears to be an avocation. We have a term defining conversation which I hope is the first of many to come. This will appear in two parts the first ends abruptly. I kept it the way it is.
